"Misleading Adventure" - Lev Intro

    Lev "Ace" SaintNard

      Character Profile
    • Lev is a charismatic and adventurous man who loves to explore the galaxy and seek new challenges. He has a strong sense of justice and a heroic streak that often gets him into trouble.

    • Lev grew up on the Blackstar Rogue, an independent space station that operates as a smuggling hub and a safe haven for outlaws, rebels, and fugitives. He learned how to pilot various spacecrafts, hack security systems, and bargain with shady dealers from a young age.

    • Lev has a younger sister named Anya, who is his only living relative. Anya is a brilliant and talented engineer who can build and repair anything from scrap. She is also sweet and kind, unlike most of the people on the Blackstar Rogue. Lev is very protective of her and often worries about her safety.

    • Lev’s dream is to become a space hero like the ones he read about in comic books and watched on holovids. He wants to fight for a better future for the galaxy and protect the innocent from the tyranny of the Galactic Federation, a corrupt and oppressive regime that rules most of the inhabited planets.

    • Lev’s personality, appearance, and skills are influenced by his role models, who are famous space heroes from different eras and factions. Some of them are:

      • Captain Orion, the legendary leader of the Orion’s Belt, a renowned group of space pirates who raided the Galactic Federation’s ships and bases and shared their loot with the poor and oppressed.

      • Commander Nova, the brave and honorable commander of the Nova Corps, an elite unit of space marines who fought against the alien invasion that threatened to wipe out all life in the galaxy.
      • Doctor Solaris, the genius and visionary founder of the Solaris Foundation, a philanthropic organization that promotes scientific and technological advancement and humanitarian causes across the galaxy.

    "Misleading Adventure"

Lev and Anya were in trouble. They had been caught by a Galactic Federation patrol while trying to smuggle some contraband goods from the Blackstar Rogue to a rebel base on a nearby planet. The patrol had chased them through an asteroid field and damaged their ship, forcing them to crash-land on a desolate moon.

They had managed to escape from the wreckage and hide in a nearby cave, but they knew it was only a matter of time before the patrol found them. They had no weapons, no communication devices, and no hope of rescue.

"Lev, what are we going to do?" Anya asked, her voice trembling. She was scared, and Lev could see it in her eyes. He wished he could comfort her, but he was scared too.

He looked around the cave, hoping to find something useful. He saw nothing but rocks and dust. He felt a pang of guilt. This was his fault. He had dragged Anya into this mess. He had convinced her to join him on this mission, promising her that it would be easy and fun. He had lied to her. He had lied to himself.

He had always dreamed of being a space hero, like Captain Orion, Commander Nova, or Doctor Solaris. He had admired their courage, their skill, and their ideals. He had wanted to be like them, to make a difference in the galaxy, to fight for a better future. But he was not like them. He was just a smuggler, a thief, a fool.

He had no plan, no strategy, no backup. He had only his charm, his luck, and his sister. And now, he had put them both in danger. He had failed them. He had failed himself.

He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. He refused to give up. He refused to let Anya down. He refused to let his dream die. He had to find a way out. He had to be a hero.

He looked at Anya and smiled. He tried to sound confident and optimistic. He lied again.

"Don't worry, sis. We'll be fine. We'll find a way to escape. We always do. We're the Blackstar Rogues, remember? We're unstoppable."

Anya looked at him and smiled back. She tried to believe him. She lied too.

"Yeah, you're right, bro. We're the Blackstar Rogues. We're unstoppable."

They hugged each other and waited for the patrol to find them. They hoped for a miracle.

The miracle came in the form of a loud explosion. They heard it from outside the cave. They felt the ground shake. They saw a bright flash of light. They wondered what it was.

They ran out of the cave and saw a sight that made their hearts leap. A sleek and shiny spaceship was hovering above them, firing lasers at the patrol's ships. The patrol's ships were on fire, falling from the sky. The spaceship had saved them.

They heard a voice from the spaceship's speaker. It was a familiar voice. It was a voice they had heard many times before, on comic books and holovids. It was a voice they had idolized and admired. It was a voice they had never expected to hear in real life.

It was the voice of Captain Orion.

"Hello, Blackstar Rogues. I'm Captain Orion, leader of the Orion's Belt. I've been looking for you. I have a proposition for you. How would you like to join me and my crew on a quest to save the galaxy from the Galactic Federation? How would you like to become space heroes?"

Lev and Anya looked at each other in disbelief and joy. They couldn't believe their ears. They couldn't believe their luck.

    The Space Lab Survivors

Lev and Anya were thirteen and eleven, and they lived in a space station called Horizon. It was one of the many stations that orbited the Earth, and that belonged to the Galactic Federation. It was also one of the stations that had been attacked by the Black Sun, a rogue faction that wanted to overthrow the Federation and take control of the galaxy. The Black Sun had been responsible for the death of their parents, who were scientists working on a project to create a new source of energy using antimatter. They had also been responsible for the death of their uncle, who had betrayed them and worked for the Black Sun. They had never found out the truth about what had happened, and why their parents and uncle had died. It had remained a mystery to them, and a source of pain and anger. They had been taken care of by a designated staff team, who had been assigned to be their guardians after their parents’ death. They had been kind and friendly to them, and they had tried to make them feel a...

    Jen Meets Leo

Jen walked back from the Atlantic Ocean boardwalk, feeling the breeze on her face and the sand in her shoes. She loved the Eau Gallie beach front park, a sight so stunning it stopped her to gaze. Scattered clouds, scattered magentas and orange water colored skies. Cotton candy pinks and lavender drapes of galaxies. She smiled as she remembered the poem she had written earlier, inspired by the beauty of nature.  She was heading to the downtown Eau Gallie Art Festival 2090, where she hoped to find some inspiration for her next poem. She had always dreamed of becoming a famous poet, and earning a ticket to the LifeSpan004 Space Travel Program. She wanted to see the stars up close, and write about them in her verses. She had heard that the program was looking for talented artists and writers to join their crew, and she was determined to be one of them.  She arrived at the festival, and was amazed by the variety of artworks on display. There were paintings, sculptures, photographs,...
