SpacePort at its current stage is being written and illustrated as a project to learn GPT, Generative Pretraining Transformer, models. To help me refine prompting skills and think outside of the box to achieve results visioned. I also have never written a story which is another goal of this project.

My journey with Microsoft started with the acquisition of Nuance Communications. I was always fascinated with Nuance's products that offer speech to text solutions. Microsoft prides itself on storytelling, a skill that I felt I lack. Moreover, I was curious about the emerging trends in AI platforms, GPT models, and job roles, and how they would affect my career. To learn and implement these new technologies, I decided to create SpacePort Short Stories, a collection of sci-fi stories based on AI-generated prompts. LinkedIn

I decided to pair each blog with a video including audio and captions.
Method:
Text converted to PDF.
Microsoft Edge was used for Text To Speech, Read Aloud Feature.
Auto-Caption features were used in CapCut (free edition).
This made for a very speedy video editing process for video editing captions.

The vision of this project is to produce 3 books with 3 short stories each that interconnect. Aim is to refine prompting, story telling, GPT processes while expressing creativity.

My mission in sharing this blog is to motivate you, the reader, to create.

Worklog has been moved to its own post here.

The Space Lab Survivors

Lev and Anya were thirteen and eleven, and they lived in a space station called Horizon. It was one of the many stations that orbited the Earth, and that belonged to the Galactic Federation. It was also one of the stations that had been attacked by the Black Sun, a rogue faction that wanted to overthrow the Federation and take control of the galaxy. The Black Sun had been responsible for the death of their parents, who were scientists working on a project to create a new source of energy using antimatter. They had also been responsible for the death of their uncle, who had betrayed them and worked for the Black Sun. They had never found out the truth about what had happened, and why their parents and uncle had died. It had remained a mystery to them, and a source of pain and anger. They had been taken care of by a designated staff team, who had been assigned to be their guardians after their parents’ death. They had been kind and friendly to them, and they had tried to make them feel a...

Jen Meets Leo

Jen walked back from the Atlantic Ocean boardwalk, feeling the breeze on her face and the sand in her shoes. She loved the Eau Gallie beach front park, a sight so stunning it stopped her to gaze. Scattered clouds, scattered magentas and orange water colored skies. Cotton candy pinks and lavender drapes of galaxies. She smiled as she remembered the poem she had written earlier, inspired by the beauty of nature.  She was heading to the downtown Eau Gallie Art Festival 2090, where she hoped to find some inspiration for her next poem. She had always dreamed of becoming a famous poet, and earning a ticket to the LifeSpan004 Space Travel Program. She wanted to see the stars up close, and write about them in her verses. She had heard that the program was looking for talented artists and writers to join their crew, and she was determined to be one of them.  She arrived at the festival, and was amazed by the variety of artworks on display. There were paintings, sculptures, photographs,...
